Brett L’Esperance is currently the Chairman and CEO of Dauntless Air, a portfolio investment of Tuckerman, where he has transformed the business into a leader in the wildfire aviation industry. Brett is a Deal Partner and a special advisor to Tuckerman on new investments and portfolio initiatives.
Prior to working with Tuckerman on the Dauntless Air investment, Brett was a Director at Bain Capital Credit where he wore several hats including leading restructuring processes and operating improvement initiatives across Bain Capital Credit’s equity control investments (including assuming active Board roles across 15 companies), acting as interim CEO and/or Chairman in several instances, and originating structured equity and debt investment opportunities in smaller middle market companies both directly and in partnership with independent sponsors. Earlier in his career, Brett was a Principal with two special situations private equity firms, one of which was a long-time successful independent sponsor. Brett received a BA in Operations Research and Management from UMass Amherst and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
